The Cinnabar Moth, which is used as a biological control for Tansy , apparently accumulates the toxins in the larvae.? This makes them unpalatable/ toxic .? Apparently , the toxin does kill alligator lizards that ingest them.

There are a lot of the plants on the hillside on Pt. Edwards where the newest condos may someday (ever?) be built.??I too noticed that goldfinch like the seeds and have photographed several doing so.? I'll keep an eye open for dead birds when I am up there photographing.???
