Other than California, Heermann's, and Glaucous-winged Gulls, the
Edmonds waterfront was pretty quiet this Labor Day morning. The Marsh
was the "hot spot" with five species of shorebirds: many KILLDEER; 1
SEMI-PALMATED PLOVER, 1 WESTERN SANDPIPER; 5 LEAST SANDPIPERS; 1
DOWITCHER (probable Short-billed). Four AMERICAN WIGEONS dropped down
into one of the south ponds.

Yesterday morning (9-4-11) Dennis Duffy had a migration wavelet at
Point Edwards with 1 WARBLING VIREO, 2 BLACK-THROATED GRAY WARBLERS, 1
ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER, 1 WILSON'S WARBLER, and 2 VAUX'S SWIFTS. There
was no passerine encore this morning.
