Hello Tweeters,
As always I love the Ocean. And seeing the Bar-tailed Godwit's earlier with
NO PHOTOS, also inspired me to get some photos of this birds.I was so lucky
that the lighting was perfect around the Jetty,but could not find the second
bird to later on the lawn next to the Coast Guard Station.This photos are
not the best,but I managed least to get 2 photos .If I had the Camera on a
tripod,I
had done better.The birds tart flying around ,but it looks that I had both
birds side by side.
>From there I went to Midway beach,what seems deserted with only few
Red-necked Phalarope and some Least Sandpipers,but this photos came out
good.
Off to Tokeland,Best birds here on graveyard Spit where 1 Ruff I could
ID,but to far to get a photo.
Next to the Tokeland Marina,where I had a possible an other Bar-tailed
Godwit right in the front line of this old barge right next to this old
house with 75 Marbled Godwit's and 1 Whimbrel.The size of the Bar-tailed
looked smaller ,but this bird had not a full eyline or supercillium so the
bird is on the front of all the Marbled Godwit .I only find out when I
looked to all the photos I took .The Jetty was completely full of Heermann's
Gulls,probable over thousands birds
On the pilings I had 11 Willet's with more Heermann's Gulls.Than there was
all the many Brown Pelican who was jumping down in to the water trying for
fish.This was the first time that I never taken Photos in flight of this
huge birds.
I could not stop ,taken Picture after Picture being in a completely trance.

Next day in Ocean Shores,I started at Driftwood entrance at 6.00 AM, and
walked for several hours with out seeing any Shorebirds at all,only few
Gulls.From there I went to the Bay side,the area where we always had
thousands of Shorebirds last year,including the Lesser Sandplover,this area
is hard as bricks ,the only water is the canals what are full of Great Blue
Heron's,about 30 birds.I never saw Ocean Shores so deserted of birds,There
was 1 Red-throated Loon close to Shore,
I had time to visiting some old Friends what where than there when Patrick
was still alive.It is always so relaxing watching the people looking for
some special Agate after a high tide,
The BEST THING came when I left my big Bagpack what the Value was $4.000
and I got it back .I LEARN SOMETHING NOW IT REALLY RESTORED MY faith IN
PEOPLE, WHAT IS FEELING SO GOOD!!!!!!!!
