Sherry and I have hiked up in the Paradise area at least 4 times this summer. We have not seen a single one. We have checked out the usual haunts, but found none. Lower Skyline Trail is still mostly under snow, and the area above Golden Gate is about 20% snow covered still. It does not mean they are not up there, but being more challenging to find.
