Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report

On September 4 a juvenile BLACKPOLL WARBLER was at Malheur NWR Headquarters.
A female CHESTNUT-SIDED WARBLER was seen September 5 at Flores Lake. The New
River RED-NECKED STINT was last reported September 3.
Fall migration is now conspicuous. On September 3, 7700 VAUX?S SWIFTS
entered a chimney in Eugene. Over 3000 were at Chapman School in NW Portland
September 1. Among heavy movements off Boiler Bay September 2 were 2000
SOOTY SHEARWATERS, 30,000 RED-NECKED PHALAROPES, 900 ELEGANT TERNS, 4000
CASSIN?S AUKLETS, and a MANX-TYPE SHEARWATER.
On September 3 a MOCKINGBIRD was in Brookings. That day a STILT SANDPIPER
was at Bandon Marsh. Also on September 3 three LAPLAND LONGSPURS were with a
flock of PIPITS on Cascade Head.
Two juvenile STILT SANDPIPERS, a SHORT-BILLED DOWITCHER, seven COMMON TERNS,
50 GREAT EGRETS, and a flock of PIPITS were on Sauvie Island September 3.
On September 7, 86 WHITE PELICANS were there. An EASTERN KINGBIRD was in
Scappoose Bottoms September 3. The North Portland SANDERLING continues to be
seen. A WESTERN KINGBIRD was seen September 6 near Wilsonville. On September
4 a RED-NECKED GREBE, still showing some color, was at the Fernhill
Wetlands.
Two RUFFS, five STILT SANDPIPERS, and 15 SHORT-BILLED DOWITCHERS are still
being seen at Ridgefield NWR. On September 3 a juvenile MOCKINGBIRD was near
Cave Junction.
