I walked the loop trail at the Steigerwald Lake NWR, near Washougal in Clark County, today with Susan Fuller, Pat Gorman, and Tom Miewald. Migrants were low in numbers but we had a juvenile RED-SHOULDERED HAWK that despite only giving us a glimpse confirmed its identification by calling several times. We did see two AMERICAN BITTERN and the refuge's resident MUTE SWAN. Wilson Cady
