hi tweeters-last evening there were 2 female horned larks on the spit-my 1st time for HOLA at tulalip!---they were very tame + perky--also Black bellied plovers~75, + a few Short billed Dowitchers, Western sandpipers + Killdeers- i went there this am + there were ~ 200 Black bellied plovers -w/ them was a Bar tailed godwit- the 2 Horned larks were still there- other birds along the bay+ trees incl. an Osprey eating a good sized fish, an adult + a juvenile Caspian tern, Red necked grebe,Belted kingfisher, Great blue heron,Double crested cormorants, Canada geese,Mallards, Glaucous winged gulls , Ring billed gulls , California gulls , Sreller's jays, Northern flickers,White crowned + Song sparrows, Black capped chickadees--also A LONE Marbled MURRELET out in the channel-3 days ago , there was a fleeting glimpse at a Golden plover--not sure which-----cheers + good birding, maxine reid
