Several birders and myself observed the Black-tailed Gull this evening. It was on one of the log booms closest to shore which gave us excellent viewing conditions. It was seen from at least 4:00 p.m till 7:00 p.m. Shep's description is perfect for those who want to chase this bird. Location is off Marine View Drive, Tacoma. Interesting that no Bonaparte's Gulls, Common Terns and the Franklin's Gull were not there this evening. I heard that the Franklin's Gull was seen earlier in the day near the mouth of the Puyallup River.
Good luck and Good birding,
