Hi all,

Sorry for the late report: I was at Pt. No Point yesterday morning (9/15/2011) from about 8 to 11:15 AM. Interesting sightings (to me, at least) were at least 6 Parasitic Jaegers (3 adults with tail streamers, 1 adult w/o streamers, 1 dark immature, 1 lighter immature), probably at least 50 Common Terns (a moored boat had 39 on it at 11:15), 25 or more Common Murres, and 3 Harlequin Ducks flying south by the point.

There are some photographic opportunities here, with the jaegers sometimes 100-200 feet from shore and the Common Terns even closer. (I could've used them a little closer of course, but not much you can do about that.) The light was terrible while I was there with heavy overcast, and the photos turned out dark and grainy as expected, but even so, I put a few on my blog for you to peruse: http://zbirdtours.com/blog/
