Hi Tweets,
The afternoon Duffy Report (9-17-11) indicated Common Terns and a
Parasitic Jaeger were seen from Sunset Avenue, which is above the
Edmonds Dive Park, just north of the ferry dock. I went down to see if
the show was ongoing. The Common Terns had left but I finally spotted
the Parasitic Jaeger chasing a Heerman's Gull. The gull dropped down
onto the water and a Glaucous-winged Gull then chased the Jaeger away.
One Osprey was also in the area, as were a couple of Bonaparte's
Gulls. Other birds included 36 Surf Scoters and one Pigeon Guillemot.
