Today, I led a walk at the Steigerwald Lake NWR in Clark County for the Friends of the Columbia River Gorge. Birding was slow with few migrants and most of the waterfowl still in eclipse plumage. Our best sightings were two AMERICAN BITTERNS, a PEREGRINE FALCON and one BLACK SWIFT. Wilson Cady
