Stopped at the Dash Point Dock this afternoon and as soon as I got out of
the car, I noticed a group of 6-7 *Common Terns* and several *Bonaparte's
Gulls* swirling and feeding off Dash Point Park. A couple of *Glaucous-winged
Gulls* were sitting on the water. While looking at the terns, I noticed a
bird with dark mantle and light front flying in and landing on the water.,
showing light mirrors on the wing. A Jaeger! It lifted off again and
followed the terns now flying towards Commencement Bay. I clearly saw the
long tail streamers and I am certain, that it was an adult *Long-tailed
Jaeger.*
