The Black-tailed Gull was still around this afternoon at 3:45 on the near logboom as seen from the Richard Gilmur Restoration and Kayak access point. It very cooperatively stood and preened, facing away, so the black tail (edged in white) was visible. Darker than the adjoining California Gulls, legs yellow (even in the somewhat backlit light), and when it held it's bill just right the dark band and red tip could just be seen.
