The Slater Museum of Natural History is currently looking for
enthusiastic volunteer docents to participate in ongoing education
programs for local students (grades 4-12) and the community. As a
docent at the Slater, you will gain invaluable experience teaching
young people about natural history, adaptation, and diversity. Docents
are an important part of the Museum?s hands-on approach to learning
and are trained to use museum collections to inspire and engage the
curious minds of visitors and students. This is a unique opportunity
for naturalists and teachers of all ages to share their passion for
learning and discovery with the community.
