Hi All: There was a good sized feeding flock, mostly California gulls, at Pt Defiance this morning. Low tide was 7:02 and I stopped at Vashon and Dalco Overlooks at 8:25. One adult parasitic jaeger was flying about chasing Bonaparte's gulls. One juvy Franklin's was in the flock. No Sabine's, which I was looking for, or common terns. On the ferry crossing, rhino numbers have been impressive - 48 yesterday; one flock of 22 reminiscent of the 1990's.
