Hello Tweeters,
Like always every day I looking for the Black-tailed Gull. But today no own
found the bird yet,and birders left with out seeing this beauty. It was not
to 3,45 PM today that I intensely looked at the new spot where he been
sighted since yesterday afternoon.
Right across from the new spot for Dick Gilmoore park.where in the past the
big ship was standing ,and all the many logs are.The bird was on the highest
log resting between 2 logs.he looked again a bit darker than the nearby
California Gulls,but sitting down
and not seeing the whole bird what is really giving me the clue the darker
hood in the back of his head.I looked a long time before I saw lifting his
head so I could see the yellow with a subterminal Bar,but I had first
problem to see the bright red tip,and looking with my Eyeglasses on.The
distance is quite to far for this fieldmark. But when Matthew Bartels and
Tina looked there saw not only the RED TIP,but got treaded to see the Black
tail with the small white trailing edge.It was also yesterday that the Gull
was sighted in the late afternoon. Also to mention are the bright Yellow Legs
even in the far distance.Looking the Gull from the side in profile he seems
shorter legged
