I spent the day exploring some of the high country of Ferry County, visiting
Quartz Mountain, Iron Mountain, Mt Washington, and Snow Peak areas. Birds
were actually quite prevalent. My search was primarily for Boreal Chickadee
which had eluded me for some time. Eureka as good views of a small flock of
Boreal Chickadee was located near Mt Washington. We also had great looks at
Williamson's Sapsucker, Northern Goshawk, Cooper's Hawk, Mountain Bluebird,
and a plethora of common mountain birds. A great day to be in the mountains
though it was warm being near 90 even in the high country.

Cheers
