Come rain - come shine, the Commencement Bay *Black-tailed Gull* continues.
At a fairly low tide at 12:30 pm today, there were only very few gulls -
mainly California - on the logs in the pouring rain. Shortly afterwards more
gulls started flying in and on my next scope scan the black tail with the
white terminal band jumped right at me. We had some excellent views of the
preening bird. In addition, there were quite a few *Black Turnstones*,
two *Common
Terns* and at least one *Western Gull* on the logs.
