Hi all,

Today I observed an apparent Black-capped X Mountain Chickadee hybrid in my yard in Pullman, WA. It had a much reduced eyebrow stripe and extensive white feather edging on the wing. It was traveling with a flock of Black-capped and sounded much like the Black-capped Chickadees it was accompanying.

Cheers,
