My wife and I finally found the gull on our 4th trip to Commencement Bay at 10:00 this morning. It was resting with Calif. Gulls on the log boom closest to shore. It can be difficult to single out unless one of the distinctive marks shows (yellow iris, red-tipped bill, black tail w white tip), and they often don't. I can imagine it would be much harder to separate on the more distant log boom. I have pics, but Joe Higbee, who was also there, probably has better ones.
