whilst waiting for elk to show up at meadowbrook farm in snoqualmie, king
county, wa (which they never did) spike noticed little birds in the grass.
pretty much perpetual motion w/ lots of squabbling. i think they're
american pipits. if i should be disabused of that notion, please let me
know.
