That's about the funnest story I've read on Tweeters for a long time. Henry sound's like a real gem. The Earth turns a lot easier when we have such good natured Pranksters on board! Thanks for the story.

Subject: [Tweeters] Birding prank by an 12 year old





Hi, Tweeters,
Last June we had a brief visit from a Lazuli Bunting, a bird which my son and I had been dreaming of seeing. I caught a glimpse of it on the wing but had not been able to see it well, so imagine my excitement when my son shouted, "Mom, Mom! Lazuli on the rhododendron!"

I dropped everything and ran to see. I kept saying, "Henry, get the camera! Get the camera!" and it didn't register that he was standing casually looking out the window. There it was, a beautiful Lazuli Bunting.

It took me awhile to realize that he had carefully cut out and taped a photo of the bird to the rhody...
