For at the past 15 to 20 years, I have had at least 12 to 24 Wood Ducks on the pond behind my house. At first they were very shy and even looking at them from the house with binoculars caused them to panic. We have since gotten to know each other and in a reverse twist they now sometimes sit on my back deck and watch me through the sliding glass door.
