I've found an even 80 species of birds at Juanita Bay Park this past
week, including 66 this morning. These are some of the highlights:

Northern Pintail - 3 this morning, 4/3, the latest I've seen them there
Red-breasted Merganser - at least several seen almost daily in the
deeper part of the bay, with a max of 21 on 3/30
Osprey - first sighting of the spring this morning, 4/3

Herring Gull - one on 4/2 which is about as late as I've seen them
here, but they're still on the 520 bridge so may linger awhile still
Spotted Sandpiper - the wintering bird is still around, often easiest
to see at the beach park
Red-breasted Sapsuckers have been conspicuous in most recent visits,
with five this morning
Violet-green and Tree Swallows have been around in small numbers most
days. They showed up about a week later than normal this year.
Cedar Waxwing - a surprise flock of 18 this morning. They typically
don't arrive until mid-May so I suspect they are birds that have
successully wintered in the area, rather than six-week-early migrants

Orange-crowned Warbler - a slightly early migrant on 3/27, the first
I've seen there in March
Brown-headed Cowbird - first of the spring this morning, 4/3, which is
right on time
Red Crossbill - a couple sightings of Type 4 birds, on 3/30 & 4/3
Evening Grosbeak - six birds on 3/30 were a bit on the early side, but
there have been occasional birds there in winter

Also this morning was a Red-tailed Hawk carrying around and eating a
freshly killed female Wood Duck. The hawk was banded - black with
yellow lettering "91". There has been a banded hawk around the park
for some time now, but I'm not sure if this is the same bird or not.

Good birding,
