During a short trip to Discovery Park yesterday afternoon/early evening, I discovered a juvenile TOWNSEND'S SOLITAIRE just west of the intersection of Discovery Park Boulevard and Washington Avenue. If flew from the ground to about five feet up in a deciduous tree just 15 feet from me. Also seen were an ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER and returned SAVANNAH SPARROWs. Unfortunately the park was directly under the only rain cloud in the sky for more than an hour, but otherwise it was a beautiful day.
