Going down to Everett's 10th street boatlaunch (and associated giant parking lot) to check on gull's today I noticed some FOY arrivals (for me) here.

First, was one Osprey out on a piling on the Maulsby mudflats. There might have been two more, but with binoculars only it was hard to tell. Last year my FOY Osprey here was a single bird on 4/6/11. There were at least 5 birds by 4/8.

Parked with the gulls were 7 FOY Caspian Terns. Still many Mew Gull's parked here now, and as I previously reported on 3/21 and 27, no Ring-bills. Seems like one small gull species just traded places with the other. Would Ring-bill's have headed over the hill to breed in Eastern Wa? Just wondering.
