The first White Crowned sparrows arrived here near Port Townsend on Monday
and now there are several and a few have started singing. The Golden Crown
sparrow are still around and a few are singing and the same with the Juncos.
Rufous hummingbird numbers are increasing daily and the battles between the
males are in full swing. Finally, we have greater numbers of Red Wing
blackbirds than in past years. We live a few miles SE of Port Townsend above
Discovery Bay.
