Hello all,
I was actually coming back from the Edmonds Pier and was the first car
to happen upon the Coopers in the road. I happened to have my camera
sitting next to me a got a few shots before he flew off.

This was my first time attempting to bird the pier, but my new
spotting scope performed admirably. I suppose I will have to get a lot
better in my marine bird ID skills. Only things of note were a well
marked Horned Grebe in breeding plumage that was in the marina and a
pair of Harlequin Ducks between the pier and the ferry dock. I also
believe I saw a Caspian Tern north of the ferry dock, but it was just
at the limit where I could make a positive ID. North of the ferry dock
was a lot more populated, bird-wise, and there were several dozen
Brant with other birds mixed in congregating around a small point
north of the Sunset Ave. overlook.
