From?a previous post --->?If a bird is banded and never seen again, then it has to be that the bird died because of being banded and it cannot be disputed because there is no evidence to the contrary. So if every person that bands a bird can account for all the birds where a bouts, then they should do so, otherwise? those missing birds have died because of being banded, only the lucky survive. And that is an absolute fact!? <---
?
Birds die every day whether they are banded or not.??Both?banded birds and unbanded birds alike will be subect to the same effects of the environment, food supply, predation, disease,?old age, etc.??
?
Just because a banded bird cannot be accounted for does not mean it has died, and just because a?bird?has died after being banded does not mean that banding caused its?demise.??Without further investigatoin, it would be poor?research?methodology to?immediately conclude?that banding caused?a bird's?death, especially when a carcass?is never recovered.??
