At 12;30 the Loon was swimming in the open area off H dock in the company of two Pacific Loons and the Grebe from the picture that was previously posted. ?I thought it was a Western. ?I would be happy to log a Clark's though. ?

More?spectacularly?was an over flight (over soar) of 6 TV's flying in trail right over the parking lot just as I got my?binoculars?on. ? Their broad wings making a beam reach off a 15 knot SW wind, heading roughly east, at around 100ft. ?I think they are just?magnificent. ? On the way back up 107 I saw two more just south of the Bay Center turn-off and around 6PM 5 (or 6) were kettling over the Satsop River just west of?Montasano?where 107 intersects with 8. ? It's possible that they were the same birds if they turned North and came up by South Bend and Raymond. ?I made?several?side trips and they would have had plenty of time to make it to Montasano.?

There were at least 100 Surf Scotors at the base of the cliff at the North Head Light doing what gives them their name. ?Swimming and diving in the surf right up against the rocks. ?

The tide was high and there wan't much to report from Tokeland.?

Midway Beach is washed out. ? The access road is covered with water between the two ponds for about 150ft and looks like several feet deep. ?I was prepared to wade a ft or so but not swim. ?Looks like Midway is off the map until at least mid summer.?

There were two Common Loons, one in breeding plumage and about 20 Surf Scotors in the Westport Marina.?

There were dozens of ?Willets in the flooded field on the western most leg of Brady Lp Rd. ?
