Hi
First stop was the nice pond/ wetland on 112 before Eden Valley Road
(before Joyce) and I heard a SORA whinnying. I do realize that this is
early and I would appreciate any (private) thoughts as to whether it's
unacceptably unlikely.
Next, at Twin Creeks, on the coast, was a CHIPPING SPARROW (photographed,
so no problems there!).
At Neah Bay there was a MOUNTAIN BLUEBIRD on Hobuck Beach, nice numbers of
RUBY-CROWNED KINGLETS in typical 'migrant habitat' and a scattering of
first-of-seasons. A handful of RED-TAILED HAWKS, several TURKEY VULTURES
and many BALD EAGLES were overhead.
