Blair...Golden Eagles have what Brian Wheeler describes as a "tawny nape
and hindneck", whatever their age, and "dark brown body" overall. I'm not
seeing that color, even when I enlarge the photo. Bald Eagles have more
white in their body feathers during early years; though I really can't tell
if this is a sub-adult l or ll for sure, I would say it is a sub-adult ll.
I would love to see its belly for a better I.D., but I'm going with Bald
Eagle.
