Hi Amy and Tweets

I have used a Wandering Tattler scope backpack since it was introduced years ago. It has always worked well for me and I haven't found a problem in getting the scope off quickly when needed. David Yee, the originator, has made a number of improvements over the years.

You can follow the link to their site for information. I am not sure whether the Seattle Audubon store still carries it, but I got my replacement there a couple of years ago.

It really does distribute the weight of a scope and tripod nicely across the shoulers, and I find it more convenient and better weight distribution than a sling (which I have also used).

Tweeters,

I've seen back pack strap attachments for spotting scopes before and am having a hard time finding them. I've also seen what looks like a way to turn your scope into a backpack or attach straps to it. Anyone have a suggested brand or online store that sells them? I often take long walks and sometimes hike with my scope and it does a number on my neck and shoulder.

Thanks in advace,
