Hi Barb,

I live about 2 blocks from that area, drove over and checked out all the evergreens in that square block especially the ones in the open and on the Maple Ave side of the square... Nothing , not even any white wash under any trees, which leads me to believe this was a mistaken Rock Dove ...lots of those around that area. If it had been there for 3 times this week, there would have been some signs of white wash left behind under trees... I did see a fake owl on a apartment top in the same block? Does your friend's friend have poor eye sight? LOL

?In any case, no owl, although a few blocks up is Yost Park and there are Barred owls there all the time.
