valleys from Ashland to Portland, Oregon; 4 near
the Centralia steam plant; 1 north of Lacey
12 ? 1 eating a raccoon carcass in heavy rain near Snoqualmie
15 ? 1 leisurely flying over Olympia; 5 over Sequim
16 ? 1 over Kenmore Elementary School; 1 at Orcas
17 ? 23 kettling northward over Longview; 1 of many circling over Orcas Island
18 ? 17 w/5 in a single kettle from the Harrisburg-Coburg Raptor Route, Oregon
19 ? 13 from the North Grants Pass Raptor Survey, Oregon
20 ? 1 over Sequim
22 ? 15 from the South Grants Pass Raptor Survey,
Oregon; 1 over Kings Hill in Portland; 9 at E.E.
Wilson Wildlife Area, Oregon ? several perched, the rest soaring
23 ? 2 near Indian John Hill
24 ? 1 headed north over Bainbridge?s Valley
Nursery; 1 over Steigerwald Lake NWR; 1 near
Swallows Park; 1 near Brinnon; 1 in Clarkston; 1 over March Point

Underwood; 2 soaring over the south dam causeway
of Banks Lake; 2 over Wing Point on Bainbridge; 1
eating a road kill opossum on Woodland Bottoms
Road ? later 8 were in night roost trees and 6 were clustered near the opossum
28 ? 13 circling the Chinook River; 2 being blown
over Oak Harbor; 28 from the Applegate/Williams
Raptor Survey, Oregon; 1 circling over Maplewood
Heights in Renton; 1 over Ocean Shores; 4
circling over the Monte-Brady exit, Hwy 12; 1 in
a field near Elma; 1 over the Wynoochee River Bridge
30 ? 1 soaring over Guemes Island; (?) over
Kirkpatrick Road, Pend Oreille County
31 ? 2 at mp 27/I-5; ?plenty? near Mazama over the weekend
