???? We spent a delightful 5 hours at Nisqually today, no rain, and sunny on and off.??From the?boardwalk we were able to to see 2 yellow legs, the great egret,??a bonaparte's gull (first time for us), double-crested cormorant,?an assortment of ducks and multiple great blue herons.?? Approaching the?boardwalk we spent a long time watching a bittern, a savanah sparrow, and 2 active killdeers.?? Earlier in the day we saw a common yellow throat, ?song sparrows, 2 white crowned sparrows, an eagle,? a flicker,red-winged blackbirds, starlings, umpteen tree swallows, and??multiple ducks (female hooded merganser, buffleheads, shovelers, wood ducks, gadwells,?widgeons, green-winged teals, coots, mallards,?northern pintails, and ringed necked ducks.)???
?
????? As we ended the day, someone told us they had observed a squirrel remove a baby squirrel from one nest and carry it to another.?We missed it.
