Subject: [Tweeters] Where are the hummers?

Hummingbird activity at my feeders has gotten very slow lately. In the past week I've observed only one to three hummingbird visits per day, usually Anna's. On several days since the end of March, I've had very brief visits of Rufous Hummers. I usually don't see Rufous Hummingbirds on a regular basis until mid-April, so I expect them to pick up soon. As for the Anna's . . . . I had four or five visiting regularly in the winter, mostly females. Could they be in their breeding cycle now? Also, with more flowers blooming now, perhaps they don't depend on the feeders so much now. These are my speculations; I don't know for sure.

Yes, a few passing by, but literally none that hang around. Also the only birds I see at home are Anna's, and while I have seen a few Rufous at work 8 miles north, there are very few of either.
