At least one pair of BLACK PHOEBEs is nesting at Ridgefield NWR again this
year. The best chance of seeing the phoebes is to look along the slough on
the western edge of the auto-tour route.

On Monday, both GREATER and LESSER YELLOWLEGS were at the refuge. There
were at least 9 AMERICAN BITTERNS on Monday. A handful of PURPLE MARTINS
are back.

There appears to be some confusion among some visitors about what it means
to remain in one's vehicle. Hopefully these two new signs will help clear
that up:
