Tweeters and Inlanders,

Tina and I had another amazing day in the SE corner of Washington.

Asotin County

Redhead x 2 -- Swallows Park
Canvasback x 2 -- Swallows Park swimming with the Redhead's
Least Sandpiper -- 1 at Swallows Park and 8 more at Alpowa Creek
Common Loon -- 1 across from the golf course
Lesser Scaup x 3 -- Chief Timothy HMU
American Avocet -- Alpowa Creek
Black-Necked Stilt x 6 -- Alpowa Creek
Snow Goose x 26 -- crossing the Snake back and forth between Asotin and Whitman near the golf course

Garfield (all viewed from Wawawai Road across the Snake river)

Black-Neck Stilt x 3 -- on a sand bar east of Blyton Landing
Ruddy Duck x 1 -- same as above
Redhead x 8 -- opposite Wawawai County Park

Whitman

Eurasian Wigeon x 1 -- Rock Creek drainage viewed from SR23 near Ewan

We also had an unusual very light gull at Swallows Park in Clarkston. It was smaller than the Herring Gulls, had a rounder head and the eye was darker than the Herring's. Hopefully, at least one of the pictures turned out to be usable for an ID.

After this much birding luck on one day, I need to buy a lottery ticket.....

Good Birding,

Rick
