Hi All,

I stood near the beach of Fay Bainbridge Park here on Bainbridge Island
from 7:40 - 9:40 AM and marveled at the overflight of migrants. As would
be expected at this stage of migration by far the most abundant bird was
Yellow-rumped Warblers. At the end of two hours I had tallied 3,760
Yellow-rumps streaming by. This makes me wonder how many might have
passed over Point no Point this morning. A few other species of interest
were as follows -

1 Greater White-fronted Goose
28 Eurasian Collared Doves - migrating north. Its weird to think of them
in the mix as spring migrants.
8 Vaux's Swifts
4 WESTERN KINGBIRDS - 2 spending some time flycatching from the small
trees, and 2 overhead
25 + Orange-crowned Warblers and a handful of Wilson's Warblers
125 Brown-headed Cowbird

Swallows were moving in fair numbers and a few other things like
American Pipits and Savannah Sparrows joined in the mix.

Twas a fun few hours this morning. Things slowed to a trickle after 9:30.

A little later in the morning I had my FOS Purple Martins (4) over on
the west-side of the island.

Cheers and good birding,
Brad Waggoner
