Hi Tweeters,

This morning (4/23/12) I found approximately 50 LEAST SANDPIPERS using the
puddles on the recently covered new drinking water pipeline at the Mint
Farm. With them were 3 DUNLIN in three different stages of molt and 1
WESTERN SANDPIPER. Also there were 2 SOLITARY SANDPIPERS in the pond in
the pasture at 2290 Dike Road off 48th Ave. in west Longview.

Later I found two GRAY JAYS in the state forest along Barnes Drive north of
Castle Rock. This would be just behind the southbound rest area on I-5 just
south of the Lewis County line. This seems like a low elevation to me and I
have a similar record of two from about the same timeframe from a few years
ago. Could these guys be nesting this low?
