Earth Day on Union Bay was absolutely beautiful. The dawn lit up the sky and slowly pushed the temperature up to summer time levels. The birds were plentiful and very photogenic.

I saw my first Osprey of 2012 on Union Bay and photographed three different types of swallows for the first time.

I also came up with a number of birding questions like:

Did anyone notice if the Union Bay Bald Eagle's were sitting on their nests before April 1st?

Has anyone seen Osprey nesting around Union Bay in the past?

Is the small gull in my photo an immature Mew Gull?
