Hello All,
Just to illustrate Brad's excellent point, here is a link to an eBird map:

http://tinyurl.com/7q67awe

This map indicates everywhere that Red-eyed Vireos have been recorded
in the month of April, for all years back to 1900 (most records are
from 2000 on). As you can see by switching the Date range to April-May
or April-June at the top of the page, while they are a quite early
migrant on the east coast, they really take their time getting to our
region. This is the same for other species with comparable ranges:
think Veery, Gray Catbird, Least Flycatcher, American Redstart. A
record this early would be quite astonishing. Documentation can be
tricky as Red-eyes are often hard to pin down, but keep in mind that
many cameras and some phones now can take videos or sound recordings,
so that could be the easiest way to document a singing bird and
achieve a significant record!

Cheers,
