Hi all,

On the Red-eyed Vireo topic, you may be interested in this recent
paper utilizing eBird data to examine how birds track annual variation
in temperature with the timing of arrival. Focuses on the East Coast,
but REVIs were an interesting case, as it seems that "slow" migrants
like them do a better job of adjusting to annual variation than "fast"
migrants, like Barn Swallows. (one side-note, the title of this paper
is quite misleading, in my opinion, as response to climate change was
not measured, just response to annual temp variation over a 10 year
span). A great example of how eBird is a great way to contribute to
science with all of our birding obs!
