Hi Tweeters,

I've found some nice birds in Cowlitz in the last couple days. Today
(4/27/12) there was a pair of LESSER GOLDFINCHES in the tree line on the
north end of the Mint Farm. This is the same spot there was one on 4/28/11
and I believe Jeff Jendro saw one there a few weeks ago. The only
shorebirds here were 30 LEAST SANDPIPERS and a few KILLDEER.

Also today there were 2 singing HOUSE WRENS in the Woodland Bottoms at
Martin's Bar and a BONAPARTE'S GULL at the intersection of Caples & Dike
Roads.

On Wednesday the 25th there was a WESTERN KINGBIRD at the end of Barlow
Point Road.
The WESTERN BLUEBIRDS on Sightly Road were bringing food to the nest box.
Also on Wednesday at Coldwater Lake I found a male BARROW'S GOLDENEYE and
heard a SOOTY GROUSE up the hill from the boat launch.
