Hi Caryn,

Your story reminded me of one that Paul Harvey told on the radio many years ago.

A man lived on the edge of a small patch of woods along a creek. On the other side of the woods were more houses.

One evening he was out on his deck and heard an owl hooting. So, he answered the owl. Much to his delight, the owl hooted back. This went on for about an hour.

He made a habit of going out on his deck every evening and 'talking' to the owl.

Some weeks later, his wife was shopping and ran into a lady that lived on the other side of the creek. She started telling her about her husbands habit of going out on the deck and hooting at the owl every evening. The other woman said, "My husband does the same thing!"

Glad your story had a better ending! hehe
