This is from an email I received, since I use BirdLog on my Android OS device:

"Please be aware of a possible service interruption that may impact BirdsEye and BirdLog. Two of the database servers run by Cornell Lab of Ornithology Information Science will be unavailable during the window of 6:00am - 10:00am ET on Tuesday, August 7. This outage may impact downloading taxonomic data from, and uploading checklists to eBird from Birdseye and BirdLog. Please be aware of the potential interruption."

I'd not be surprised if there were other, related interruptions.
