I was at Ocean Shores this weekend....on Saturday, there were thousands of
Sooty Shearwaters just beyond the waves, flying mostly from the south to the
north, and then big swirls of them (I imagine concentrating around food).
It was quite a site. They were still present on Sunday, although not in the
huge numbers we saw on Saturday. Quite close to shore; easily seen from the
beach.
