Subject: [Tweeters] Fill today

Hey tweets, I got out to the Fill really early this morning, trying to
beat the heat. The birds were pretty active: two Solitary Sandpipers,
a Least, a Spottie, and a Long-billed Dowitcher were all on Main Pond,
along with a Cinnamon Teal, a Willow Flycatcher, and a Belted
Kingfisher. The dowitcher eventually left and went over to Water Lily
Cove, where it tried to forage on the dying lily pads, not too
successfully.

The Fill was lovely right after dawn: heavy mist clung to the grass
stems, muffling the sounds of the city. Sharing the morning with the
birds, each in its separate niche, was a great happiness. - Connie,
Seattle
