Monday evening at 4 pm we heard the Ptarmigan calling well below and on the
east slope of the Freemount Lookout ttower but couldn't locate it. It quit
calling.

Tuesday morning after hitting the trail at 7:30 am mom and one chick were
on the trail 200 yards before the tower at 9:00 am.
